The PC Coach Cycling Plan
gives you the plan you need to achieve your cycling goals.
Whether you are seeking general fitness, attempting to complete
a century ride, or preparing for an entire racing season
the PC Coach cycling plan will you get you there.
The plan creates a
customized training schedule specifically tailored to your
goals, your needs and your level.
Author
The PC Coach Cycling plan was created by elite cycling
coach Dr. Edmund R. Burke. Dr. Burke is the author of several
books, including: "Serious Cycling", "High-Tech Cycling",
and "Precision Heart Rate Training." The training techniques
and principles Dr. Burke uses to coach his elite athletes
are now available to cyclists of all abilities.

The Plan
The PC Coach
Cycling Plan covers an entire year, and includes training
plans for everything from fitness cycling, to preparation
for a century or two-day ride, all the way to competitive
road racing at USCF levels 5 through 1. A vast array of
training options is built into this plan, which makes
it easy to individualize
the training according to your goals. It includes options
for heart rate based training, along with a more standard
effort based approach.
An annual plan
option is included for serious competitors, while beginners
and those who seek to prepare for a single event can choose
a shorter training progression. In addition to the large
suite of cycling workouts, this plan also includes cross
training and strength training as optional parts of the
training picture. So whether your aim is to compete in the
USCF categories, complete a Century, or get the best fitness
results from your cycling exercise, you'll be motivated
by the training schedule the PC Coach Cycling Plan creates
for you.
The Startup Interview
When you begin the Cycling Plan, the
program conducts a Startup Interview to determine your experience,
your goals and your level of fitness. Based on your responses
during the comprehensive startup interview the program creates
your schedule a week (or more) at a time.

Scheduling
The program loads your customized plan
onto your own Calendar. PC Coach has several calendars to
display your workout schedule: a week view (shown below),
a month view, a long-term planner view and a detailed workout
view. All workouts scheduled by the Cycling Plan include recommended
duration and intensity, expressed in heart rate or zone.

Feedback
PC Coach gives you great feedback
along the way with individual heart rate graphs and
long-term analysis...
Update Interviews
As you progress through the training
plan, the program will conduct update interviews that further
customize the training and give you the ability to change
your goal and workout preferences.
