Polar products purchased from unauthorized Polar resellers WILL NOT be covered under the two year Polar warrantee.  Additionally, you may potentially run the risk of buying a refurbished or reconditioned unit from an unauthorized reseller.

Any Polar product sold on an open auction sites (e.g. e-bay) is considered to be a used item will not be covered under the original 2-year warrantee.
