HOW TO PROPERLY FIT
YOUR NEW WATERGYM BELT
SO IT'S VERY COMFORTABLE.

It's important you take a moment to properly adjust and fit your new WaterGym Belt. Once you custom fit your belt, it will be very comfortable and you will not have to make any further adjustments. Before you begin, practice joining and releasing the side-release buckle a few times. Then proceed.....

Start by holding your WaterGym Belt with the female part of the side release buckle lying flat in the foam groove as pictured. If your belt came from the manufacturer and the black elastic strap was not strung through your belt as shown, do this now and make sure your belt is in the same position as the picture.

Holding your thumb against the female part of the buckle in the position you see in the picture, wrap the rest of the foam belt around your waist. Fit the male part of the buckle into the female part of the buckle. Lock the buckle in place. Keep the joined buckle over to the side, close to one of the openings as shown. This will enable you to tighten the belt once the buckle is locked.
Now gently tighten the belt. Do not pull and tug on the black elastic webbing so hard that it stresses the foam. Our foam is wonderfully soft so care should be taken so it is not damaged. It is best to take off your belt to make your sizing adjustments, then put your belt back on.  Do this by weaving the black strap through the flotation belt until the joined buckle is back to its original position. Gently tighten the belt again. Repeat if necessary until the belt is snug around your waist.
Now take any excess black strap and weave it back through the holes in the direction from which it came, as shown in the picture. Thread it though the first hole, and if you have a very small waistline, you will also need to thread it through the second hole on the other side of the belt. This way, any excess strap will be out of your way during your workout.  If the end of your belt hangs a bit loose in back, you may tuck in the belt and tie it down as shown in the next picture.
Wear your belt in the water, make one more final adjustment if need be, and now your new WaterGym Belt is custom fit for you. All you will have to do is clasp and unclasp the buckle and off you go! A perfect fit!

IMPORTANT!! The black elastic strap on your belt should remain securely in place once fitted. If you find that your belt continually slips and loosens up instead of staying tight, it means that the male side of your belt buckle might have been accidentally strung upside down by the manufacturer. We try to catch these, but once in awhile they slip by ~ no pun intended!

You can easily remedy the situation by slipping the male side of the buckle off the end of the black elastic strap , turn it over, and then restring it back on the right way. Give the belt a tug to make sure it’s strung right. It should not slip at all.
